On Location is a LARP written by Larps on Location, adapted and produced by The Wilmark Dynasty.  Your creative team is Elyssia McCormick, Renee Schulz, and Kyra Corradin.  They are joined by an NPC-Production Team crewed by Jason Gagliardi, Aimee McCormick, and Mica Corradin.  All black & white photos credited to Oliver Facey, from Run One of this marvelous, little game.         Characters still available.

It's 1932.  At Tarrington Manor, a cast and crew are assembled for the making of the film "Stolen Moments".  They are waiting for their director to arrive....

On Location is set during the making of a fictional film, in 1932, at a hotel resort called Tarrington Manor. The events and personalities depicted are entirely fictional, and bear no relationship to the lives or attributes of any real-world individuals, living or dead.

The fictional Tarrington Manor was once a private estate, but converted to a hotel just five years ago.  The cast and crew are all housed in the hotel, and filming was set to take place on the estate - although precise set locations have not been publicized.  Crates of set dressings and costume pieces were delivered in crates the day before the LARP begins, and are only just being opened.

Gottfried, the director, has yet to arrive, to take charge of the set of 'Stolen Moments', and little direction has been given in his absence.  Still, the cast and crew are motivated to begin... somehow....

What is On Location?

On Location is a collaborative LARP where characters concepts are pre-designed in skeleton, but embellished and personalized in writing by the players across various preplay opportunities. This is a larp about human drama and emotional exploration.  On Location is aimed at people who enjoy internal and interpersonal tension, who like to develop and express their characters’ emotions through play, and who are interested in using a low-key open-ended approach to find and build engaging story and satisfying resolution.

Before the game:  The players are encouraged (but not required) to name the characters, create backstory, and flesh out pre-assigned relationships with other characters. The creative team will  help you connect with other players via email, social media, and Discord meetups - or, if you're too busy to take on the commitment of preplay we'll help package something up for you in advance.

At the game:  The players will design sets, develop and film scripts and scenes, audition for roles, agonize over symbolism, confront rivals, test friendships, explore romantic possibilities, recall past triumphs and failures, plan for the future, ... all while awaiting the much-anticipated arrival of their director, Gottfried.

What will you create?  what will you explore?
