Gamefest: On Location
?
For a plethora of reasons, we're going for a Hybrid event this Labor Day Weekend, as we transition back into indoor events (we're back "on location"). In future years, we'll intend to bring back weekend-long games, but for this event you get the best of both worlds! One big LARP (also called: On Location - clever, right?) for 32 players running from Friday evening into all day Saturday; and also a separate track of board games and ttrpgs Friday though Sunday. We'll tell you more about the LARP on its own page, but for now let's talk about the Gamefest portion.
The Days of Knights (our very kind sponsors) and some volunteers will be hosting our Board Game Room! Visit here to play a game or pick one up to go play in the breakfast area. Learn something new or play an old favorite. We've also got a private board room to host one Table-Top Roleplaying Game in each of our five game slots. You are also welcome to play pick-up rpgs in the breakfast area. That area is available to us whenever breakfast/clean-up isn't happening. We will put out a call for games both for ttrpgs and board games as well if you'd like to host a specific game.
Join us to participate in one game, run a gaming event, or attend the whole weekend! You can just come, be social, and relax too!

Disclaimer: We will be back indoors. This means far less ventilation than being outdoors. The event rooms do not vent to the outside, and the ceiling heights vary. There is a door to the outside in the lobby connecting the event rooms, which we will keep open as much as is practical. We do not intend to have a sing-a-long at this time, but may revisit if things change dramatically. We will find somewhere to sing Amazing Grace late Saturday night, probably masked, for those who want to help us keep up this tradition. We miss the sing-a-long too (so much), and promise to bring it back as soon as we think it's safe to do so.

There will be name badges! Please wear them. It's important to know who is with our group, and we'll use stickers to identify who is open to hugs and physical contact.

There will be a covid safety policy that includes that participants be fully vaccinated. Other precautions. By registering and paying for the event you agree to comply with all covid safety precautions announced at that time as well as any changes up to and including at the event itself, and to sign a waiver-agreement in-person at check-in, which will apply to covid and general safety.
